The Rt. Rev’d. John E. Watton ordained Deacon Geraldine Poirier to the sacred order of the diaconate on August 25th, 2021, at St. Peter’s Church in Twillingate. The homilist for the service was the Rev’d Dr. Joanne Mercer, Provost of Queen’s College. The Diocese of Central Newfoundland and the parish are excited about Rev’d Gerry’s ministry.
