The photographs with this article are from a fun night that the confirmation class from Holy Cross parish (Norman’s Cove) had with the local fire department. The firefighters talked about volunteering in the community. They played a game that was referred to as “Firefighter Jeopardy,” answering firefighters’ knowledge questions, and getting prizes for correct answers. Then there was time for putting on the turn out gear and learning about the trucks and how to put out fires of different kinds. A special “Tip of the Hat” to Assistant Chief Mike Hurley who arranged the evening.
