On March 2nd, 2025, St. John the Evangelist Church in Burgeo commissioned two lay ministers under the leadership of the Rev’d Deacon Brenda Strickland: Ruth Tucker and Maxine Dicks. Maxine was also commissioned as a Eucharistic assistant. Deacon Brenda presented them with their licences during the worship service.
