On the 17th of March 2026, the Rev’d Kenneth Abbott celebrated 67 years of ordained ministry serving our Lord and faithful 
parishioners. Archdeacon Charlene Taylor attended the service on the 22nd of March, representing the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador. It was a beautiful service and a very inspiring message from Archdeacon Charlene. Rev’d Abbott continues his service in ministry as the Priest-in-Charge in the Parish of the Holy Cross, Norman’s Cove.
Then, on the 27th of February 2026, the Rev’d Kenneth Abbott celebrated his 90th birthday. An open house was held on Saturday, 28 February, at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church hall in Norman’s Cove.
Clergy from various parishes attended to honour him on this special occasion.
