An Ecumenical Service was held at St. Peter’s Church in Upper Gullies on November 8th to support Ukrainian families who have settled in Newfoundlandsince the Russian invasion in February. Representatives from various churches were in attendance along with a number of new immigrants who made the trip to Conception Bay South for the service.
St. Peter’s was pleased to collect a significant amount of winter clothing and supplies that will be distributed by the Association for New Canadians. Over 1000 Ukrainians are thinking of making a new home in Newfoundland.
