A beautiful World Day of Prayer Service was held at Bethany United Church, in Carbonear, on Friday, March 6th, 2026. Ladies from St. James’ Anglican Church, the Salvation Army, St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, and Bethany United Church joined together in a time of worship and fellowship. The Rev’d Maxine Drover, priest-in-charge at St. James’, was the guest speaker. The service this year was entitled “I will give you rest. Come.” It was prepared by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Nigeria.
Everyone enjoyed the worship, especially the sermon by Rev’d Maxine. A big thank you to the women of Nigeria for sharing their stories with us. We will keep them all in our prayers.
